Independent advisory, speaking, and ventures

Turn complex technology into decisions leadership can act on.

Initiatives get off track when the technical realities and the business priorities are hard to reconcile. Closing that gap is the work — so leadership can decide with confidence and teams can move.

Selected consulting

Senior support for initiatives that matter

I accept a limited number of engagements where an experienced outside perspective helps an organization make a decision, align its people, or move an important initiative forward.

The work is advisory and consulting only. I assess, advise, and help leadership decide — Ardion does not build, deploy, staff, or deliver the work that follows.

Where I help

  • 01AI Operationalization
  • 02Execution Acceleration
  • 03Digital Initiative Assessment

Not every situation requires a large consulting team or implementation partner. Some require focused attention from someone who can quickly understand the context, ask difficult questions, and help leadership decide what comes next.

Discuss a Consulting Need

How consulting engagements work

Focused by design

  1. Define the problem

Get clear on what is actually going on, the problem we are solving, and the outcomes you need to achieve.

  2. Understand timing and constraints

Establish the real deadlines, dependencies, and organizational constraints the work has to fit inside.

  3. Work together directly

Chris leads the consulting engagement, working directly with you and your team throughout.

  4. Leave with a path forward

The engagement concludes with findings, decisions, ownership, and practical next steps.

Engagements are accepted selectively based on scope, fit, timing, and existing professional commitments.

Board and advisory participation

Independent perspective for leadership and boards

I serve selectively on advisory boards, strategic committees, and leadership councils where organizations are seeking my individual experience and judgment. My role is to evaluate direction, challenge assumptions, and help leaders make better-informed decisions.

This is an ongoing governance and counsel relationship rather than a project engagement — a seat at the table, not a route into delivery work.

Ventures

Learning through building

Ardion Ventures is also home to operating businesses and entrepreneurial experiments. Building directly creates a different kind of perspective, one grounded in customers, constraints, tradeoffs, and day-to-day execution.

Burning Wood Apparel

Custom apparel, made to wear and made to last.

Burning Wood Apparel is a division of Ardion Ventures, built to make custom apparel easier — flexible ordering, quality garments, and professional printing. It handles everything from a single piece to large group orders, prints customer-supplied artwork, and helps get files ready by sorting out sizing, placement, and colors before anything goes to press.

It started from frustration with poor-quality graphic apparel, so the focus stays on the fundamentals: comfortable garments, dependable sizing, durable printing, and designs people actually reach for. Work comes from small businesses and employee teams, conferences and clubs, community organizations, creators, and people marking an occasion.

  • One-off and group orders
  • Customer-supplied artwork
  • Design preparation help
  • Multi-color, multi-size runs
